A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER - Treated like royalty - by royalty My wife Ilana and I took a long weekend to the North Fork of Long Island to escape from the city and to enjoy the country and as much wine as we could handle. As we drove along the North Fork searching for our B&B, we were amazed at the number of vineyards we passed. Our innkeeper suggested Castello di Borghese because it is owned by Italian royalty and often the price or princess gives the tour themselves. We arrived at the vineyard for the tour and were greeted by the princess. After the preliminary introduction we were invited to get into our cars for a short drive through the vines to where they keep the barrels. The princess invited everyone in the group to share cars and offered seats in her own. Being New Yorkers, Ilana and I jumped at the opportunity to not drive. So there we were, on the North Fork, riding through the vines, cheauffered by royalty. I can't think of any other situation where I felt like a better person. And the wine - wonderful. Eat well!
